Heavy Equipment Operators

Join our team! We are looking for experienced heavy equipment operators for water truck and agricultural tractor w/ disc. Heavy equipment operators must have a minimum of 2 years experience in 1 or more of the following tasks: Site grading Utility excavation Building excavation Demo Street/Road preparation Other tasks could include but are not limited to operating other heavy equipment and other construction related duties, as required. Other construction related duties could include laboring with shovels, brooms, setting blue tops and grade stakes, adjusting manholes and valve boxes to grade. The following are required to enable position holders to perform the primary tasks of the position: 1. Skills/Knowledge Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills Highly reliable, team player, ability to work well with others Ability to read operating instructions and complete pre-shift and post shift inspections. Basic math skills, and capable of reading plans, grade stakes, and set blue tops 2. Experience/education: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience. High School Diploma or equivalent experience required 3. Physical requirements: Ability to lift 45 pounds Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen 4. Visual acuity, hearing, speaking Good Communication and must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits Ability to follow verbal and written instruction Ability to communicate with customers, inspectors, and testing firms Ability to read operating instructions and complete pre-shift and post shift inspections. Must be able to communicate in English Must be able to visually identify potential hazards to themselves and others around them Must be able to follow supervisor’s instructions without constant supervision 5. Environment and scheduling: Must be able to work 8-10 hours shifts, 5 days per week Must be willing to work overtime and Saturday’s, as needed Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license Must be able to start work at 7:00 AM Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noise Wage range $23-31

Pipe Layer

Pipe layers needed PURPOSE: The sole purpose of this position is to install underground, wet utilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to installing underground pipe to include new water mains and services, new sewer mains and services, new storm sewer using a variety of hand tools. Spreading bedding gravel with a shovel, and grouting manholes and rip rap. OTHER TASKS: Other tasks could include checking grade, shoveling and cleaning curb, sweeping, cleaning jobsite. Adjust manholes and valve boxes to grade once asphalt has been placed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following are required to enable position holders to perform the primary tasks of the position: 1. Skills/Knowledge: • Must have basic math skills • Use and knowledge of hand tools, including a tape measure • Work as part of a team 2. Experience/education: None required 3. Physical requirements: • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds • Stand and walk around for 8-10 hours per day • Work around heavy machinery and loud noise • Continual bending, squatting, and climbing • Good coordination • Have good coordination 4. Visual acuity, hearing, speaking: • Must be able to hear around load machinery • Must be able to visually identify potential personal hazards • Must be able to understand and follow foreman/supervisor’s instructions without requiring constant supervision 5. Environment and scheduling: • Must be able to work 10-hour shifts, 5-6 days per week • Must have reliable transportation in order to move from one job to the next • Must be able to start work at 7:00 AM • Must be able to work in the summer and winter elements • Must be willing to adhere to all company policies and safety rules Salary range $20-$27/hr.
